I am from Russia. Kazan is my city where I live. My family consists of my parents, my brother and his family. I recently became the God mother of my nephew Nikita. My family and I love living in Kazan. I love my family. When I come back to Russia I want to support them, because my parents are becoming old. It’s very important to be close to them and give them the attention they need. I am glad to have email here because I can connect with my mother in Kazan.
This is my second experience living far from my home. Last year I was in Finland. I was in a dance program for the performing arts. We had different dance techniques and the dance projects with international dancers from around the world. It was a good time for studing and learning more about the country.
When I studied in High School, I didn’t know what my future profession would be. My classes in High School had emphasis in Math and Physics. I was interested in drawing, pop dance and literature. When I graduated I decided to learn more about dance. I enrolled (matriculate) into Kazan State University of Culture and Arts.
Dance for me is a communication and a process of exchanging information between people through movement. So dance is a language of the body. I am interested in how to develop a body and express felling or ideas through the body.
So, for now I am planning to improve my English and to learn more about Afro-American contemporary dance in order to give that experience to the Russian dancers. Also it will be excellent for me to have a change to give my experience from Russia to American dancers. I think that in the field of Art collaboration is very important. .
